Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Nurse Practitioners are Highly Qualified nurses, who can Diagnose, Arrange tests and Prescribe for many minor ailments.

Mandy's clinics run as follows:

  Monday      10.30am - 2.30pm (Practice Nurse) and

                    3.30pm-7.30pm (Chronic Disease Management)

                                             Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc. 

  Tuesday      10.00am-1.30pm and 2.30pm-6.00pm (Adv.Nurse Practitioner) 

  Wednesday  9.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm  (Adv. Nurse Practitioner)

She is able to deal with a multitude of ailments, some of which are listed below:

headaches, mild anxiety/depression, eyes, ears nose & throat, mild chest pain, chest infections, coughs, breast pain/lumps, abdominal pain/diarrhoea, contraception, PR bleeding, urine infections, cystitis, back and neck pain, joint and muscle pain, skin complaints/rashes, lumps and bumps.

She can see patients for a range of appointments, with the exception of pregnant ladies, men with prostate/scrotal or testicular problems, acute bleeding, severe chest pain, severe depression, post natal check up and children under 2 years of age. For the above, patients should see a GP.

Faiza Beale (f)

Faiza is an Independent Nurse Prescriber

She is able to prescribe for Chronic Diseases such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc.

She will be working with us on Thurs and Fri 08.30 - 15.00pm

Pat Grey (f)

Pat is a fully qualified Sexual Health Nurse, and will carry out Smears, Contraception, Pill Checks, Depo Provera Injections, Post Natal Checks and Coil and Implants Insertion & Removal.

She will be working within the Practice on Mondays from 2.00pm until 7.30pm,

including extended opening hours from 6.30pm-7.30pm.

Jenny Walder (f)

Jenny is a fully qualified Practice Nurse with a special interest in DIABETES, and can perform all Practice Nurse procedures, except for Asthma/COPD reviews:-

which are seen by Faiza (Independent Nurse Prescriber), Mandy (Advanced Nurse Practitioner) or Amanda (Practice Nurse) 

Jenny will be working on a Thursday and Friday.

09.00am - 13.00pm &  13.30pm - 17.15pm Thurs

09.00am - 13.00pm &  13.30pm - 14.00pm

& 14.00pm - 17.00pm (Baby Clinic) Fri

Amanda Versey-Featherston (f)

Amanda is a fully qualified Practice Nurse including Sexual Health

Working Wednesdays 12.00noon - 6.00pm

Healthcare Assistants

Tania O'Shea (f)

Healthcare Assistants support Practice Nurses with their daily workload. 

They may also act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Our HCA (Tania) qualified to carry out Ear Syringing, B12 injections, Phlebotomy (Blood Tests), New Patient Checks, Hypertension Annual Reviews, Pre-Diabetic Reviews, Flu, Pneumonia, Child Flu and Shingles Vaccinations.

Blood Tests can be booked with Tania on any of these sessions, normally booked 9-10am especially if a fasting blood test is required).

She will also be able to offer ECG examinations referred by a GP or Nurse Practitioner on her Friday Afternoon clinic.

Tania will be working on Tues 1.45pm-3.45pm,Wed 09.00-2.00pm and Fri 09.00-12.00noon & ECG session Fri 1.00pm - 3.00pm

For 24hr ECG/BP Monitoring, there will be available 07.00am-08.00am on a Monday with Tania.
